I hope Sammie brings hope to other preemie families of the world. I wrote this about two years after Sam was born, and I was headed back to teaching. We were extremely overprotective parents, rightfully so. Being apart was tough. Just like life in the nicu, we were strong and got through it better than before!!!
Messages for Miracles is an empathy and inclusion program inspired by the journey of my son Sam and his twin sister Allison. Students learn about kindness, understanding differences, and making a positive impact by creating cards for hospitalized children and families.
